What Gluten is?
Gluten is a vegetable protein-most commonly known as wheat protein. It is found primarily in wheat, rye, & barley. But is not limited to just theses grains. Today, grains(even organis) are genetically engineered to have a high gluten content. It allows you to bake wonderful bread and items that is crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. But gluten has a not so good side. Many people are allergic or sensitive to it. If you are completely allergic to it, the diagnosis is usually Celiac disease. If you are sensitive to it, you will or can become chronically sick and or disabled. Some people will go through life never knowing the connection; your doctor may never discover the connection; and sometimes endure endless not necessary medical treatments. Medical gluten tests usually turn up positive after the intestinal linings have been all but destroyed. So you can be left not knowing out in the cold, and having to think on your own and outside the box. So you ask yourself What can I do? The answer is simple~ until tomorrow.
